Last year, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 845 mobile platform and Snapdragon 835 platform optimized for Windows 10 powered “always connected PCs.”
Now, at Computex 2018 in Taipei, Taiwan, Qualcomm has announced the all-new Snapdragon 850 mobile compute platform. Designed for Windows 10 powered devices, Qualcomm is promising a battery life of up to two days.
SNAPDRAGON 850 SPECIFICATIONS:-
- It is built on a 10nm process, the Snapdragon 850 SoC comes with Kryo 385 CPU with 8 cores, and maximum clock speed of 2.95GHz.
- The new chipset also offers a 30 percent performance improvement, 20 percent more battery life and over 20 percent faster Gigabit LTE speeds (1.2Gbps) with X20 LTE modem compared to Snapdragon 835 chipset, (Qualcomm said in a press release).
- New changes coming to Snapdragon 850 SoC include high fidelity built-in audio, with virtual surround sound, and aptX HD support.
