Xiaomi’s new smartphone will be launched in January.
There’s no doubt that Huawei has emerged as one of the best flagship smartphones with magnificent camera capability and offers a real 40-megapixel sensor on its flagship devices, like the Mate 20 Pro and the P20 Pro but that could change soon as Xiaomi is preparing to introduce a device with the 48-megapixel camera next year.
According to Lei Bin, President of Xiaomi post on Weibo suggests that Xiaomi is working to release a smartphone with a 48-megapixel camera. He also reveals that the smartphone with such high-resolution camera will arrive in the market in January 2019.
MIUI officially confirmed that the smartphone is running the MIUI 10 system, which could be based on Android Pie and not Android Oreo.
According to leaks, the 48MP camera Smartphone will not be a Mi series phone, but it could be first ever Redmi flagship smartphone. Thus Xiaomi could use the cheaper Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 48-megapixel sensor that was launch in October instead of costlier Sony IMX586 48-megapixel sensor to make the device budget friendly.
As per the design, the handset could be sporting a premium design since it features a glass rear. The 11nmSnapdrgon 675 octa-core processor could find his place in the Smartphone as the chipset supports 48-megapixel camera sensors, it is likely that the first Redmi flagship phone could be fueled by the same SoC. It could be priced well within Rs 20,000 mark.
